
Chef Colton Coburn-Wood joined Langwater Farm in 2024 after a career in restaurant kitchens, blending his rich culinary background with a profound love for seasonal, local ingredients. Colton grew up all over New England and went to high school in Southern California. Inspired by his travels throughout Mexico and time spent living in Southern California, Coburn-Wood brings his affinity for Mexican cuisine and his appreciation for New England sensibility and tradition to our kitchen.
From an early age, Colton was enchanted by the ephemeral bounty of New England. His outdoor explorations fuel his creativity, leading him to celebrate the natural world through cooking. With a strong commitment to seasonal ingredients, he crafts dishes that honor the land and vibrant traditions.
Colton attended Cambridge School of Culinary Arts and has worked for celebrated chefs Ken Oringer at La Verdad, Gordon Hammersely at Hammersley’s Bistro, and Chris Douglass at Ashmont Grill. He helped open celebrated restaurants like Yellow Door Taqueria and Cosmica.
His work has garnered attention in prominent publications such as The Boston Globe, Edible Boston, and Star Chefs. Most recently, he was featured in Jenny Johnson and Billy Costa’s cookbook, “A Taste of Boston,” which showcases recipes from the city’s most iconic chefs. Colton’s culinary journey has been highlighted on NBC Boston, New England Living TV, Dining Playbook, and Phantom Gourmet. Colton lives in a 1850’s Whaling Captain’s house with his wife Emma, daughter Sawyer, dog Shiloh, and cat Paddington.
