It’s that time again!

It is January here on the farm and although the farmstand is closed for the winter, we are all very busy here!  We are already accepting sign-up sheets for next year’s CSA season (sign up here!) as we work on taking our seed inventory, ordering seeds in all sorts of exciting varieties for the coming season, and planning our crops and field layouts.

For the 2013 CSA we have many of the same popular options available again, so you can enjoy our delicious, fresh-picked Certified Organic produce the way that works best for you. This year will be our fourth growing season at Langwater Farm and you can expect the same diversity, freshness, and high quality in all of our produce.

This year’s options are:

Full Season CSA: Weekly pickups of our own Certified Organic produce will start the week of May 21st and go through the last week of October (24 weeks).  Each week you’ll get a mix of 5-10 different vegetables and the variety and quantity will change according to the season. We aim to return you at least 15% on your investment with us. Choose from a Whole Share for $625 or a Half Share for $350.

Farmstand CSA: A more flexible option: $350 gets you a $400 debit card, redeemable for any item whenever the farmstand is open, all season long.  You choose what veggies you like and when you want them.

Sunflower CSA: Ten weeks of brilliant sunflower bunches starting in July. (Only 20 shares available.) $60.

Winter CSA: Saving the best for last, the Winter CSA runs for 8 weeks, November-December. For $175, a share will include lots of greens, roots, and winter squash and average $25 worth of produce each week. We aim to return you at least 15% on your investment with us.

Ashmont Farmers Market CSA: Weekly pickups of our own Certified Organic produce at the Ashmont/Peabody Square Farmers Market on Fridays, 3-7pm from July-October (15 weeks). Choose from a Whole Share for $450 or Half Share for $250.

To give an idea of what kind of quantity and diversity to expect in this year’s Full Season and Ashmont shares, here’s a few sample weeks of last year’s shares. This year’s shares will be pretty much the same in terms of quantity and diversity, although we can’t promise these exact items on these exact weeks this year.
